USE OF “ON” PREPOSITION
1. লেগে থাকা অর্থে on বসে এবং উপরে স্পর্শ বোঝালে on বসে।
Ex: Put the book on the table.
2. যানবাহনে ভ্রমণরত অবস্থায় থাকলে on বসে।
Ex: I was on the bus.
3. দিন,তারিখ ও মাস বোঝাতে on বসে।
Ex: we established our institution on January.
4. প্রান্ত বা কিনারায় অবস্থিত এমন বোঝালে on বসে।
Ex: Dhaka is situated on Buriganga.
5. পক্ষে কাজ করা অর্থে on বসে।
Ex: He is on the committee.
6. কোনো উপলক্ষ বোঝাতে on বসে।
Ex: I will present you on your birthday.
7. পরপরই বোঝাতে on বসে।
Ex: On receiving the news she burst into tears.

USE OF “BY” PREPOSITION
8. দ্বারা অর্থ ব্যবহৃত হলে by বসে।
Ex: the tricks of the mind is written by Derren Brown.
9. পাশে অর্থে by বসে।
Ex: The Jhilpara mosque stands by my house.
10. অনুসারে বা অনুযায়ী অর্থে by বসা।
Ex: It is 3 o’clock by my watch.
11. কারো নামে শপথ করা বা প্রতিজ্ঞা করা অর্থে by বসে।
Ex: He swore by Allah that he would not steal anymore .
12. খুব কাছাকাছি সময় এরকম বোঝালে by বসে।
Ex: She will come by 5 pm.
13. যানবাহনের পূর্বে by বসে।
Ex: She came my house by car.
14. বয়স,উচ্চতা ইত্যাদির ক্ষেত্রে by বসে।
Ex: Anuska is senior to Yasmin by 2 years.
15. স্বভাবে,পেশায়,জন্ম এমন অর্থে বোঝালে by বসে।
Ex: The girl is good by nature.
16. ধারাবাহিকতা বোঝাতে by বসে।
Ex: His handwriting is improving day by day.
17. পরিমাপ বোঝালে by বসে।
Ex: the house is 10 feet by 15 feet.
USE OF “OFF” PREPOSITION
18. বিরুদ্ধ বোঝালে off বসে।
Ex: His wife is off him.
19. ছাড় বা Discount বোঝালে off বসে।
Ex: You can receive 25% off plus free delivery by spending 3000 taka.
20. বাতিল বা বন্ধ বোঝাতে off ব্যবহার করা হয়।
Ex: The university is off today.
21. কোনো কিছু অপছন্দ অর্থ বোঝালে off বসে।
Ex: I am off hot food.
22. দূরে অর্থ বোঝাতে off ব্যবহৃত হয়।
Ex: Be off from here.
23. বিচ্ছিন্ন অর্থ বোঝালে off হয়।
Ex: Switch the fan off.
